The OFSPST is here to provide peer support to the personel of the OFS through timely, proative, educational and reactive methods. Our peers provide information, support and referrals to normalize common reactions when faced with a critical incident or traumatic event. The Peer Support Team will encourage resiliency and reinforce coping strategies for either an individual or group.
We are diverse group of people who have a broad range of experience dealing with different challenges. We are your brothers and sisters and we are here for you. We are peer supporters because we want to help. You don’t have to be going through difficult times to learn more about Peer Support. Ask any of us. We will be happy to take the time to talk to you about the program.
You don't need to be on the Peer Support Team to make a difference. Learning about the services we offer and talking positively about the program is the best way to help. There is still some stigma regarding what we do. Let's work together to eradicate that stigma.
